The student texts for Grade 3 include a variety of selections that encourage building positive virtues and character qualities. Readers are exposed to many genres, including poetry, fiction, historical fiction, biographies, tall tales, adaptations of Bible stories and more. Comprehension skills are emphasized, and phonics skills are reviewed throughout the year, primarily in the worktext exercises.
