Publisher's Description of Spelling 1 Home School Kit 3rd Edition
Teach your child to communicate clearly through correct spelling with the Spelling 1 curriculum from BJU Press. The Spelling 1 Subject Kit includes both the Student Worktext and the Teacher's Edition. The colorful worktext pages include activities such as rhyming, using words in context, proofreading, dictionary skills to reinforce your child's understanding of spelling patterns and strengthen their communication skills. Thirty age-appropriate weekly spelling lists are included, and each list contains approximately 10 words. The Teacher's Edition includes lesson plans as well as reduced student worktext pages with answer overprints, and a CD with supplemental activities, test forms, and teacher aids.
This is the 2nd edition of the first grade spelling program. This edition correlates with the reading and phonics lessons in the Phonics and English 1 Teacher's Edition, 3rd edition. Spelling words are drawn from word families taught during the phonics lessons, based on their frequency in the student's vocabulary. This spelling program can also be used as a stand-alone spelling program. The Home School Kits at each level include both the consumable student worktext and the teacher's edition.
