The Level 11 & 12 theme is History, Homer, & Heroes and meets the skill level or chronological age of 15-18 years. Students study ancient Greece and biblical history; measurement, graphs, and fractions; music; classic children’s literature including Anne of Green Gables; an in-depth study of birds; the history of medicine, traditional hymns and folk songs and writing through Classical Composition: Chreia and Maxim. Components are individually listed on the website. Please contact us to order Rod and Staff resources. If your student is new to Simply Classical, you will want to use the English Grammar Recitation II from Level 9 & 10 in place of Levels 11 & 12’s Rod & Staff - The Eight Parts of Speech in English. Additionally, there are resources from previous years that will need to be purchased. Contact us for more information. Many lessons are completed orally. Students who want or need additional writing exercises may add corresponding workbooks.
