Introducing children to the God of creation, children explore the world around them using their five senses, and age-appropriate, basic science tools. Through the year, children are introduced to hygiene and nutrition, living and non-living things, plants, birds, fish, reptiles, habitats, the weather, seasons, rocks and minerals, fossils, dinosaurs and more. Children are gently guided into learning about science and God's amazing creation as they follow the adventures of Gideon and his teddy bear, Mr. Snuggly. Each of the interactive lessons are designed to take 20 minutes, 2 days per week. Lessons conclude with some sort of hands-on activity which may be a coloring page, simple hands-on activity like identifying smells, planting seeds, etc. Required supplies are predominantly household items. Additionally, easily sourced items include: a mirror, blindfold, fine glitter, magnifying glass, ruler, washable paints, seed packet, potting soil, small pot, various craft supplies, clothespin, cotton balls, globe or ball, flashlight, pumice stone, and Play-Doh®.
