It's time for the 11^th Annual RRC Summer Book Contest! The official contest launch is May 5th. This year’s theme is to create a Time Travel story! Using this specific kit from Lulu Jr., write and illustrate a book of your own creation. Purchase this kit to enter the contest (while supplies last).

If desired, you may download an extra copy of the lined pages here.

One kit per author only. This kit includes 18 story pages, a cover page, 10 markers, contest instructions and rules, and a tracking number (needed to enter). After completing your story pages, you will place them in the enclosed envelope to send to Lulu Jr., who prints your book and mails it to you. Turnaround is approximately 4 weeks. To be officially entered in the contest, email us your Contest Entry information (details in contest rules) by September 5. Be sure to follow all contest rules. Note the checklist and the judging criteria (rubric) we use linked above.

The Contest Entry Deadline is September 5. Winners will be announced November 7 at noon CT. To receive free economy shipping on this kit, simply make a note in the ORDER COMMENTS BOX on our shipping page stating, “For Book Contest,” and we will adjust shipping for that item only. Category Description for Make Your Own Book Kits

Perfect for aspiring authors or as a keepsake, these kits provide all the tools for children to create their own professional-looking book. Each kit includes an illustrated Quick Start guide, blank book pages, washable markers, a postage-paid envelope and an order form. Children can use the pages to write and illustrate their own story, then scan and upload to the Lulu Jr. site, or mail their pages and order form. Kits include the cost of processing and printing one book, which is returned to you in a few weeks or up to 4-6 weeks.
