My Activity Clock is a fully interactive educational toy for toddlers. Made in Middlebury, Vermont, the clock is cut from hardwood plywood measuring 10.3" wide and 13.25" tall with a slot stand for easy play. The clock has 12 removable activity disks that are blank on the back so children and caregivers can add their own activities. The moveable hands are securely fastened and the dials for weather and days of the week turn easily.
My Activity Clock introduces and/or develops at least dozen educational concepts/activities to older toddlers.
On the very basic level My Activity Clock teaches numbers, time, weather and days of the week. It also helps little ones develop gross motor skills - putting the activity disks in and out of the clock face, and fine motor skills by setting the hands and turning the dials for days of the week and weather.
More advanced educational opportunities come in word recognition, spelling and creativity as children can make their own activity disks for things they like to do.
The clock can help children develop a sense of self control, scheduling and routine as certain things happen the same time every day - bedtime, naptime, etc... Studies have shown that early development of a routine helps children transition into formal educational settings.
