All About Math Level 5 Activity Book is filled
with colorful activity sheets for kids to practice the concepts they just
learned. These are not boring worksheets with lots of exercise problems but
contain a variety of hands-on, interactive activities. For example, in Lesson
8, students practice “interpreting fractions as division” by reading recipes at
a culinary school and writing the division expression and the matching
fraction. The game at the end of the lesson is a Culinary Cook-Off. Ingredients
and recipe cards are placed face down. Players choose one ingredient card and
one recipe card. They read the cards aloud and write a division expression and
the matching fraction on a dry erase board, showing how the ingredients are
divided. Also in the activity book are short math practice pages (no more than
six problems) to review and reinforce what students have already learned. Story
problem pages allow students to apply math concepts to real-world situations.
The front of the activity book offers a couple of ways to
monitor progress. Students place fun animal stickers on the Progress Chart as
they complete each lesson. The Daily Review Tracker allows you to keep track of
skills when they are introduced and mastered. At the end of the book is a
Certificate of Achievement to present to your child after completing the

stickers, you will want the Student Packet

multisensory lessons, builds understanding through a strong conceptual focus,
and develops procedural fluency through hands-on, mastery-based instruction.
This level strengthens understanding with fractions and decimals, introduces
volume and coordinate planes, teaches data interpretation, and weaves in
periodic review to reinforce mastery.
The Teacher’s Guide provides open and go, scripted lessons
that walk you through how to teach every concept. Lessons are kept short, 20
