Description

In Goats & Goblins by B.A. Games, play as goblins who notice that goats are trapped in a cave that might collapse soon. You must decide whether to go in and rescue some goats so you can collect gold and other rewards—but only if you can also leave the cave before it collapses!

This is a card game for 3-6 players where you push your luck as you take turns, with the cave leader deciding how many cards to draw (with 3 as a minimum draw). All other players decide whether they will go into the cave with you. As you draw cards, you will find goats, goblins, gold, beneficial action & effects cards to use during future explorations, and the dreaded “cave-in” cards with values of 1 or 2. If the total drawn value of “cave-in” cards is less than 3 when you are done with your draw, all explorers who went in the cave split the played cards as rewards while the cave-in cards are discarded. If the cave collapses during an exploration when the total drawn value of “cave-in” cards is 3 or more, any players who stayed out of the cave gain all the rewards for themselves.

When there are less than three cards left in the draw pile, the game ends and the player with the most points wins!  Sources of points in this game are:

Gold – each gold card contains a varying number of points

Goats – two points each but if you have an odd number of goats, three points each

Goblins – two points each but if you have an even number of goblins, three points each

If you like card games for a larger group of people with a great deal of player interaction and elements of luck, daring, and actions that can influence outcomes for everyone, this is the game for you! It is raucous, chaotic and fun! Goats & Goblins plays in 20-30 minutes and has variant play instructions for 2- and 3-player games. ~ Marsha

Publisher's Description of Goats & Goblins Game

A game of pushing your luck as your goats have run amuck and are now stuck in an unstable cave. You and your fellow goblins will need to go in and get them out but there appears to be some shiny, pretty treasures in there as well. Collect your goats and those mysterious treasures before there is a Cave-In and lose your stuff!

Every turn, a player will be the Cave Leader and choose how deep they will go into the cave. They will then invite all of the other goblins who will have to decide to go with you or stay out. If you succeed in avoiding a Cave-In, you and those friends who went with you will share in the treasure. Everyone who was out gets nothing. However, if you fail, you drop everything and those who stayed out will go in and split your precious treasure for themselves.

With just a deck of cards, this game is quick and easy to learn. Every player is involved in every single turn and you will have incredible moments of laughter, excitement, and quite possibly shed a few tears.
