Description

The connections found in the Old Testament continue in the God’s Story New Testament-Junior Level from Not Consumed Ministries, teaching upper elementary students the redemptive message of the whole narrative of the New Testament. This study provides history, context, and purpose to hang biblical literacy on as you study and discover God’s Word. Students now work more independently as they discover the provision that God’s Word offers. Students are provided with lines, blank spaces, and designated areas to record their thoughts and reflections. The Key Verse and Key Truth are the same throughout all levels, providing a connecting point for discussion. This program encourages students to spend intentional time in their Bibles, discovering and reflecting on God’s Word before coming back together as a family to discuss and refine their reflection. The included extras are a bookmark breaking down the different literary sections of the New Testament; 2 sheets of study-specific stickers (a sticker for every NT book of the Bible) to apply to your paper bookshelf as you finish studying each book; and 4 Junior Challenge cards that are tasks catered specifically for upper elementary children. 57 pgs., paperback. ~Rebecca

The God’s Story New Testament Bible Study from Not Consumed Ministries picks the overarching narrative back up from where the Old Testament went silent and continues to weave the redemption story of Christ into completion. A study like this helps students understand how they fit into God’s plan and how God’s plan applies to them. This is not a comprehensive study of the New Testament but a summary of each book and their connected narrative. There is a study book appropriate for every member of your family, from the primary level (ages 5-7) to junior (ages 8-12) to youth (ages 13+), and a parent guide. Scripture references are provided at every level, encouraging everyone to open their own Bibles and study the Word of God. There are 25 days of study, and these can be completed in a way that best suits your family: once a day or once a week. Taking a once-a-week approach would allow for a richer study of each book of the New Testament, provided you brought in additional resources like reference books, atlases, maps, and charts.  ~Rebecca
