Description
Phonics
Foundations Student Flash Cards
are used during the review part of each lesson for visual, auditory, and
blending drills. The student looks at the sound and says it, writes the
letter(s) on a tactile surface, and practices blending. Flash cards are
compiled in the student’s deck only if the student already knows the phoneme
(an individual unit of sound) or a new phoneme is introduced in a lesson. Student
cards are also color coded based on if it is a consonant (letter, blend, or
digraph), vowel (letter or digraph), or affix. The back of the card gives an
example of how it is used and the unit and lesson where it is first introduced.
There are also placement dots on the back of each card to sort them into
