Description

The statistics are frightening: 5.4 million children in the U.S. have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD according to the CDC and diagnosed cases are increasing at an alarming rate – nearly 6% per year. This is not, however, the only issue plaguing our children today. Many of them also battle focusing issues which may be overlooked in light of their overwhelming attention problems or behavior issues. Regardless of the picture presented, as parents we really want to know if our children's struggles stem from a physiological or psychological problem (or a combination of both), and what resources are available to equip us to help them.

Drawing from multiple sources including research, input from various physicians and her own personal experience, Dianne Craft works from the core belief that the body desires to be healthy and can heal itself with proper nutrients and supportive guidance.

This combined CD and DVD set includes the Biology of Behavior Audio CD and Kids and Teenagers with Focus/Attention Issues DVD. The 2 ½ hour audio presentation provides parents and teachers/caregivers the foundation they need to understand Mrs. Craft's recommendations for how best to help struggling learners. Presenting an incremental, eight-week nutritional supplement plan along with rationales, common signs of deficiencies and additional recommended resources, Mrs. Craft shares that many children are able to reduce prescribed psychotropic meds as the body heals. In cases where children have not begun prescription therapy to treat their focus/attention/behavior issues, you may find the natural therapies presented to be effective in reducing the troubling symptoms. The information presented here is not designed to replace your primary care physician, and she recommends that you work alongside your child's physician to institute any changes in diet, supplements, or prescriptions. The Audio CD set includes an updated 2019 Instructional Booklet which is a handy reference to the supplements as well as additional resources.

The DVD, Kids and Teenagers with Focus/Attention Issues, takes a fascinating look at how our diet and antibiotic use may appear as symptoms of sensory dysfunction and focus/attention issues. She also explores the big question– "Is it character or chemistry?" and provides simple checklists of behavioral and physical characteristics. Dietary changes and nutritional supplementation recommendations are included. This material was originally part of the Struggling Learner Seminar DVD series. While there is some overlap of content, the reinforcement and revised recommendations work together well to equip parents and teachers for successful implementation. ~ Deanne

Publisher's Description of Biology of Behavior: Targeted Nutritional Program

Are you searching for answers to your child’s struggles with focus, behavior, mood, or sensory challenges?

The Biology of Behavior Targeted Nutritional Program helps parents understand and address the physical and biochemical factors that can influence attention, learning, and emotional regulation. Thousands of families have followed this step-by-step nutritional approach and reported meaningful improvements in focus, learning readiness, and overall well-being.

As pediatrician Dr. Sydney Walker, III, MD, observed:
“Children behave how they feel.”

Often, behavior and learning challenges are the body’s way of signaling underlying stress or imbalance. This program helps parents recognize those signals and take practical, informed steps toward supporting their child’s brain and body health.
