Description

Updated in 2020, the core content remains the same as the previous edition, but has been rearranged, with a couple additional mental math lessons added. Students engage in standard's based activities, including place value, decimals, exponents and prime factors. Student review and build on the four math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) and apply them to fractions, decimals, positive and negative numbers. Integers are introduced including how to identify; translate and write expressions; along with adding/subtracting integers. Students will also learn variable and use tables, organize and display data with graphs. Students study shapes, lines, points and angles, and learn to solve perimeter, surface and volume of an area. Students will develop strong problem solving skills, conceptual understanding and procedural skills. Set includes 12 Student Worktexts, Score Keys and Test Keys. Keys are answers only, no solutions are included

Category Description for Starline Press Math

Starline Press Math is a character-based, independent learning curriculum. Aligned to pre-Common Core California state standards (please see publisher website for CA state standards correlation), each grade level pro­vides self-directed instruction with minimal teacher supervision. In Grades 3-8, students will complete twelve units (booklets) per year, with a suggested 3-week completion time frame for each. In Grades 9-10, students will complete 5 booklets per semester or 10 per year. Each grade level includes vocab­ulary, fill in the blank questions, practice problems, chapter reviews, and unit tests. Each grade level set contains 10-12 consumable saddle-stapled booklet worktexts, answer keys, and test keys.
