Outlined in Abeka's Bible scope and sequence, this resource is a wonderful little hymnal. While not a required component, it does add a rich way to praise God through the singing of psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. This is a resource that will be referenced and used throughout the entire Abeka Bible curriculum. 231 pgs, spiral-bound. ~Rebecca
Publisher's Description of Abeka Sing His Praise Hymnal
Something is to be said for the old hymns of the faith; they stick in your mind resurfacing during times of distress to comfort or during times of joy to praise. Featuring over 200 songs, this is a great resource to teach your teen classic hymns and Bible choruses or for family sing-alongs or hymn playing. The first part of the book contains hymns such as "Victory in Jesus," and the second part has Bible choruses like "As the Deer." Simple piano arrangements allow a parent or teen to accompany the songs. Give your teen a treasury of doctrinal music he can draw on for years to come. Correlates with the grades 7–12 curriculums (sold separately).
The Abeka Bible for Middle Years follows a course of study for each semester. Each semester course covers an Old Testament theme (Exodus) and a New Testament theme (Life of Christ). The Flash-a-Card lessons have carried over from the Elementary Bible program to the Middle levels. These Flash-a-Cards will have the meat of the lessons detailed on the back of each image card. Each semester course includes the following: curriculum/daily plans, flash-a-card set, test booklet, and test key. Optional, but recommended, items include the Life of Christ map booklet and the Sing His Praise Hymnal. ~Rebecca
