They will learn both uppercase and lowercase forms of the letters as well as blending sounds. If they are already comfortable with the alphabet and sounds, the Grade K Kit may be a better fit. Each lesson on the DVD combines audio and visual features, with animations of letters joining together, and then a speaker reading the word. After a series of words has been covered, the segment is shown again, and the child is encouraged to read the word before the speaker says it. The DVD never gets tired of taking your child through the words. Now you can take that content with you anywhere with online access too. Just register your product online and you can stream all the video lessons! Use the lessons as often as you like; the goal here is mastery of letters and sounds. The audio component is really a plus, as it allows children to listen (and re-listen) independently to solidify understanding.
