Piece together your own F-16 Fighting Falcon with this 375-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s Armed Forces Collection, this set contains all the blocks needed to construct the first version of the American fighter to ever take flight.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is an American supersonic jet that was first flown in 1974. Despite being over 45 years old, the aircraft is still in service with the US Air Force to this day, having been constantly upgraded and improved. It has also been purchased by dozens of other countries around the world. F-16s played major roles during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 with 249 fighters engaging in combat, and the aircraft later fought in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The F-16 is capable of traveling at an incredible top speed of 1,353 mph, or Mach 2.05, which is nearly twice the speed of sound. It can carry a large variety of missiles and bombs. Missiles include air-to-air, air-to-surface, and anti-ship, while bombs range from laser-guided to nuclear.
This 1:48 scale model features the 1974 version of the F-16 with movable wing flaps, a cockpit that opens, and wheels that function when the plane is rolled. A pilot minifigure and display stand are also included. Perfect for aviation and military enthusiasts ages 8+, this set brings the Fighting Falcon to life in incredible detail! Dimensions are 12.2” long, 8.7” wide, and 4.3” high. ~Alex
