Description

Create your own Origin Story over five rounds using story cards to develop special actions and benefits to help your character prevail in this trick-taking, engine-building game by Stonemaier Games. Play as the hero or villain, predicting whether you can take the most tricks in an eight-trick round or no tricks at all. Charge up story cards to use abilities at different times (before or end of a trick, on your turn, ongoing, etc.). In the final round, choose a superhero card to help boost your score before the game ends. At the end of each round, score one point per trick won, and when round five ends, the person with the most points wins! For 1-5 players with a 45-minute game time. Solo mode instructions are included as well as gameplay modifications for a two-player game. I personally found the two-player rules a bit “fiddly” and awkward and thus liked a 3-5 multi-player game better. ~ Marsha
