Description
Publisher's Description of Silica-Free Sensory Sand - 1/2 lb

Did you know that most sand sold in hardware stores, including some sands labeled as "play sand" contain crystalline silica dust–an EPA and OSHA regulated carcinogen? The State of California requires a cancer and health risk warning label on play sand containing crystalline silica. That is because most of the bagged sand found in today's stores is not natural sand, but is actually derived from quarried quartz rocks. Our Sensory Sand is silica free!

Refills available in two sizes:

  • 1 pound of Silica-Free Sensory Sand.
  • 1/2 pound of Silica-Free Sensory Sand.

Category Description for Silica-Free Sensory Sand

Small bags of white sand are perfect for sensory learning. Put some in a tray or pan (with sides is best) and allow children to practice drawing their letters. Perfect for special needs or sensory learners, but most kids will enjoy the novelty of drawing in sand! ~Sara
