These Vikings are tiny, but they are well equipped to sail
around the islands, raid and colonize villages, build temples, and engage in
epic battles with other Viking clans. The goal of Tiny Epic Vikings is to
collect Runes, which are symbols of power found in different forms and in
different locations. Runes are collected by having the most presence on
islands. This is accomplished by docking on them and building the largest
colonies and buildings there to collect Ruin tokens, which turn into game-end
points. The other way to collect Runes is by winning battles with other
Viking colonies to collect favor cards that contain them.
The game takes place over three eras, and each era has three phases that start with drafting Viking Cards, which are used to determine player actions each round. Then the Action Phase begins, during which players choose one card to play each turn that allows them to either engage in a battle with other players or take another action offered by their card. These actions might involve sailing their boat, docking it at an island, colonizing islands, collecting resources, or building more boats or temples. Once all cards are played, the clean-up phase takes place. At the end of three rounds, the game ends, the scores are totaled, and the Viking clan player with the most total Rune points wins! For 1-4 players with 45–60-minute play time. Solo rules are included. --Marsha
