The Reading Digraph Game from The Fidget Game practices reading skills in a fun and multi-sensory way! A digraph is a pair of letters that when combined make one sound. For example, ch, ph, wh, ck, sh, and th are digraphs. The six types of syllables taught include closed, open, silent e, consonant-le, r-controlled, and vowel pair.
How do you make this fun and appealing to a child? Brightly colored cards and rainbow silicone poppers, of course! Instructions are simple. Each player gets a fidget mat (5x5”) which has printing on each bubble. As you take turns flipping over cards, the first player to find the match to the card gets to pop their bubbles. The first to pop down all the bubbles wins. ~Sara
