Description

Purposeful Design Science teaches all disciplines of science including life science, physical science, earth science, and the human body. The spiral-bound Teacher Edition includes step-by-step instruction. Each lesson gives the worldview objective, a summary of the lesson, materials needed, and preparation notes. The list of NSES and NGSS that each lesson covers is also provided. Instruction includes discussing information in the student text, helping students understand scientific vocabulary and the value of scientific investigation, and performing hands-on activities – all while approaching each concept from a biblical worldview. Most experiments use common household items, but some will require specific materials. Extension, Enrichment, and Recovery activities provide additional support for differentiated learning. Reduced copies of the student text are included within each lesson. Reduced copies of the Science Workbook (with answers in red) are found at the end of each chapter. The last lesson of each chapter is review.

Supplemental Teacher Resources are available online. A link in front of the teacher guide provides a website to the PDF files for additional learning tools including activity pages, performance assessments, chapter tests, charts & diagrams, and short videos for each unit. The Teacher Guide includes directions for using these resources. ~ Gina
