Category Description for Real Science 4 Kids Curriculum
Real Science 4 Kids Science is the newest science program from Gravitas Publications. Similar in content to Exploring the Building Blocks of Science, the author introduces chemistry first, followed by biology, physics, geology, and astronomy. The beautiful hardcover textbook presents complex science concepts in a way kids will understand. Textbooks are written at a slightly advanced reading level so parents should be reading the text with the student if using the books corresponding to the grade level - unless the student can read and comprehend the text independently. Throughout the textbook are engaging illustrations, chapter summaries, and pronunciation for science vocabulary.
Student and teacher pages are available separately. Student pages include a study notebook with fun activities to go with each chapter and hands-on labs that correlate with specific chapters. Some of the activity pages require students to cut and glue to make a layered mini book. Teacher pages include lesson plans, mid-term and final quizzes, and answers to the student notebook.
