The Revised 6th edition for Spelling Vocabulary & Poetry has some nice updates! First off, the student textbook is bigger, going from the 9x6 to 11x8.5 size. There are 34 updated word lists (4 of them are review) that average 35 words total. The lists break down into sections of words under several categories: prefixes, suffixes, roots, and about 10 vocabulary words with definitions. The Student Workbook has word lists with four exercises per list that reinforce the content presented. Lists also include a “Pro Tip” that covers a general spelling rule such as, “I before E except after C or when sounded like A as in neighbor and weigh.” Two books of the Bible with their abbreviation will be included with each list. A well-known quote is at the top of the list page along with a Bible verse. The end of the book contains poetry selections.
