Description

You have just inherited a vast plot of undeveloped land with so many possibilities for its use.  In Cozy Stickerville by Unexpected Games, play solo or share a wonderful, laid-back experience for up to 6 people. Play covers 10 chapters featuring a story about your changing land with many surprises and discoveries. How does this unique journey unfold and what makes this a great game for families and groups of friends of all ages?

After opening the box, it is comforting to find an easy-to-follow, four-page manual with a brief introduction to set the scene and help set up your first game along with how basic gameplay works throughout the game.

There is a double-sided map board so the game can be played twice. This board is illustrated as farmland with some topography and a river through it.  It is a blank slate to start and where your character puts down their roots. Based on choices throughout the game, the land will develop with the use of many different stickers that are found in the included sticker book.  There is a deck of 120 “event” cards, consisting of 12 cards each numbered 1-10.  The game takes place over 10 virtual years and uses one of these decks per year or game session.  There is another deck of 60 catalog cards that are set aside to be used as instructed throughout the game.  As events unfold, you will refer to the storybook based on decisions made and as instructed.

You can play this game one session at a time which will take about 30 to 60 minutes and put the items to continue with in the “save” box to pick up next time.  After 10 game sessions or “years” have elapsed in this story, you will experience one of several different possible endings; depending on decisions you have made along the way.

We have played our Cozy Stickerville game through the first year so far and can’t wait to bring it out again to see how our story and farmland develops and changes.  This is truly a cozy experience that families can use to work on together as both a game and a story time that is uniquely theirs. ~ Marsha
