Category Description for Science Shepherd Earth Science (Gr. 2-6)

Science Shepherd Earth Science is a video-based elementary science curriculum that builds on topics introduced in Introductory Science. From a Christian, young-earth creation worldview, it gives students a deeper understanding of geology, volcanology, paleontology, oceanography, meteorology, climatology, and energy.

The program is designed for grades 2–6 and works well for multi-age families with two differentiated levels sharing most video lessons.

Key Curriculum Features:

  • Video lessons taught by the author that expand on earth science foundations
  • Coverage of geology, volcanoes, fossils, oceans, weather, climate, and energy
  • Biblical perspective highlighting how scientific observations support the Genesis creation account
  • Two levels that share core lessons for multi-age learning
  • Optional hands-on activities using common supplies
  • Flexible 35-week schedule

Program Components:

  • Video Course: Available as a DVD set or online streaming (Level A: 121 lessons; Level B: 161 lessons including all of Level A plus additional content)
  • Workbook Level A: For grades 2–4 or ages 7–10
  • Workbook Level B: For grades 4–6 or ages 10–12 (more challenging with extra content)
