Classical Composition VIII: Description Stage Online Instructional Videos (Streaming)
The instructional videos for the course, “Characterization,” begin with a 20-minute course introduction. Then, the 15 lessons range from 15-37 minutes. Students will continue practicing skills used in previous levels, such as invention, paraphrase, and sequencing ideas, but now will begin to hone their style as they write from different points of view and write clearly, concisely, and creatively.
This is a lifetime, non-transferable subscription streaming product and is usable for single-family use. Internet access is necessary. After purchase, you will receive an email from Rainbowresource.com with access information. Digital items require setting up a MemoriaPress.com account. Licenses start once activated and will be accessible in this account. View student lessons online on a computer, tablet, or phone. These are not downloadable.
As with the previous stage in the Classical Composition program, the next stage Description is primarily concerned with the development of particular styles as the students bring the subject of the exercise vividly into the reader’s imagination. In Description, a fast-paced, free, relaxed style is developed with the inclusion of many figures of description, speech, and thought.
Classical Composition VIII: Description Stage develops descriptive essays, using an example from Aphthonius.
