into two guides (801-805 & 806-810), the optional teacher component to the
CLE 8th grade Language Arts program provides the teacher with many
resources and features. These include class preparation items for each lesson,
review questions, background information, additional lesson activities,
additional spelling lists, alternate tests, reduced student pages with answers,
and all test/quiz answers. The appendixes are a wealth of information with an
entire LA 800 Scope and Sequence and a LA 700 Skill Index where you can look up
when a skill was taught in 7th grade if your student needs to review
a concept. Introduction materials also provide you with a scoring and grading

The two Teacher’s Guides for Language Arts 8 (each sold separately) include detailed teaching
instructions, answers for all student exercises, answers for quizzes and
tests, spelling word lists, oral reviews, and alternate tests. This Teacher’s Guide covers LightUnits 801-805, and the second covers
LightUnits 806-810.
Each Teacher’s Guide includes LightUnit pages displayed at a reduced
size with the answers filled in. You can easily see student assignments
and check their work from the Teacher’s Guide.
The Sunrise
Edition Grade 8 Language Arts program includes 10 worktexts and introduces
new grammar and writing skills like transitive and intransitive verbs, and
concrete and abstract nouns. Learning new skills all while building and
reviewing previously learned skills. Students will also be writing a research
paper and learning Library Skills to aid in the construction of a bibliography.
Creative writing is taught through the additional On Teaching Writing text. There are optional Teacher
Guides that are broken up by units (801-805 and 806-810). These guides
provide helpful teaching notes/suggestions, reduced student pages with answers,
additional spelling lists, and alternate tests. For those using this course
more independently, there are also separate Unit Answer Key and the Test
& Quizzes Answer Key. Partner the CLE Language Arts with the CLE Grade
