This small-format short biography on John Knox narrates his journey in his fight to advance the Reformed faith. He grew up in a tradition that said you can be saved through works, but Knox realized the error in this thought. He became a passionate preacher of God’s word, telling people only Christ could save them. Although marketed to younger readers, a better plan may be for younger readers to study with a parent or teacher. For each page spread, one page has short, easy-to-read text and a large illustration, but the opposite pages have quite big blocks of text that would likely be difficult for a beginning reader. A parent may choose to read the long section and then let the child try the shorter section. Colorful illustrations abound throughout. 24 pgs, pb.

the truth that neither good works, popes or priests can save you from
sin - but Christ alone. This fiery Scot refused to give in to religion
