Wonders
Within is part
of the Abeka Reading 5 program. Students will be introduced to a variety of
genres and text structures. Through these different types of writing, students
will be exposed to the glory of creation, the power of imagination, and the
possibilities of innovation. This collection of literary pieces will acquaint
students with both prose and poetry as well as classics of children’s
literature from famous authors including E. B. White, Frances Hodgson Burnett,
Robert Louis Stevenson, Rudyard Kipling, and Virginia Sorensen. A focus on text
structures and figurative language will teach students how to best convey the
wonders they see all around them. Comprehension and Think it Through questions
