Publisher's Description of Mary - Becoming a Girl of Faithfulness (True Girl Bible Studies)

Mary was living the life of an ordinary girl. But all that changed when an angel came to her with an invitation to be a part of God's super big, ginormous plan to save the world. Sounds cool, right? Well, to be a part of God's big plan she had to give up her plans. And she didn't understand everything, but she knew it was going to be difficult. Even so, Mary said yes! Do you know why? She was faithful.

In Mary, a six-week Bible study, you'll enter Mary's story and learn how you can become a girl of faithfulness. God doesn't need the best athletes, the most beautiful girls, or the exceptionally talented to do great things for Him. He just needs an ordinary girl who is willing to say, "Yes."  Mary's life proves to us that when a True Girl responds with faith in the moment, it brings a beautiful, forever blessing.

Category Description for True Girl Bible Studies

If you want to encourage your daughter to study the Bible, this book series is the perfect place to start.  Your daughter will discover truth by diving into the stories of famous women of the Bible.  Much of the book is reading and annotating through the actual text of the Bible– mostly in the New Living Translation, with some passages from the Message or the NIV.  Throughout the book are plenty of opportunities to review the content through crossword puzzles, word searches, fill-in-the-blanks, and word scrambles. Lessons also include questions for personal reflection and application.

The authors teach the 3 Z’s of Bible study: Zooming, Zeroing, and Zipping: getting into the details, understanding the big picture, learning what it really means, and asking what God wants us to do with it.  Those steps are repeated within each lesson to reinforce good study skills.  The layout and design of the entire book is gorgeous, almost too pretty to write in!  Also included are maps, a small group guide, and an answer key.
