It also covers concerns about a child’s progress and special needs children. Worth mentioning, this book assumes that you are supplementing your child’s education at home. Don’t let that detract, though—the helpful explanations and insights are valuable for parents teaching their children at home too. As an adult who learned to read with Dick & Jane and attempted to understand phonics as I taught my own children, I found this book clearly presented and useful.
