Description

The Biology 101 Guidebook with Quizzes & Accreditation Program is the perfect companion to the Biology 101 DVD course. Divided into two sections, the Guidebook and the Course Accreditation, this book is reproducible for the purchasing family or co-op class. The Guidebook section includes video notes, side bar trivia with interesting facts on biology topics, brief biographies and observations, discussion questions, multiple-choice quizzes (with answers), and a bibliography. The Course Accreditation section includes a getting-started introduction, a lab/activity supply list, and a 27-week schedule with 135 hours of biology study along with 20 hours of lab work. Lab activities use easy-to-find household items. Note that the activities in this course are simple labs like identifying plants and animals or watching a fish, so if you live in a state that requires lab sciences for high school credit, you will need to make some additions. Black-and-white “clip art” style illustrations throughout. 125 pages.
