This boxed set of 25 mini-books covers a variety of
science-based topics for your child to read about. With only 8 pages total each,
these small, cardstock-covered books are very thin, easy to hold, and less
overwhelming to a young reader. Each
page has only 3-4 sentences and full-color photographs with labels or speech
bubbles.
Each booklet reviews a specific phoneme, including
r-controlled syllables, prefixes, suffixes, and vowel diagraphs. Inside the
back cover, there are short phonics facts along with a list of the words that
the student will encounter in the mini-book. The last few booklets in the
collection also feature 3-syllable words. Several booklets review all skills. Also
included is “My Little Workbook” with review questions and places to write
answers (note: the book and lines are quite little and some students may struggle
to write in the allotted space). These are the perfect little books for early
readers with a thirst for knowledge and a love for collections!
