Description

Played similarly to the original Go Fish game, this Go Fish Faces & Feeling Game, designed by phycologists, features different emotions instead of different types of fish. When asking for trades from other players, the card being requested must be acted out. For example, if a player is asking for a sad card, they must imitate a sad stance. Bonus cards ask the player to mime a prompt in addition to an emotion. Player with the most matches at the end of the game is the winner. Perfect for young children who are in the social-emotional learning stage, or those who struggle with translating emotional reactions from others. Helps build emotional intelligence and self-awareness. Includes 56 feeling cards, 10 bonus cards, 22 bonus tokens, and instructions. For 2-6 players; 10 minutes of playing time.

Publisher's Description of Go Fish - Faces & Feelings

Go Fish: Faces & Feelings puts a social-emotional twist on the classic card game. Kids act out feelings to request cards, making emotion recognition and expression a natural part of play.

In regular Go Fish you ask for a card by naming it. In Go Fish: Faces & Feelings, you act out or express the emotion on the card you want instead. The player being asked then has to recognize the emotion to know whether they have a match. This turns a simple card game into active practice with emotion expression and recognition.

Go Fish: Faces & Feelings is designed for ages 6 and up. The acting mechanic requires enough self-awareness and motor control to express emotions physically. However, older kids and teens enjoy it just as much! It's a fun twist on the timeless favorite.

Go Fish: Faces & Feelings is designed to be played without reading. You can recognize the different card types through a combination of colors, photos, and emojis (used like card suits). This makes it accessible for early readers, children with learning differences, and English language learners.
