Description

Work with children before they learn letters and sounds! This is part of a set of 6 phonics workbooks, each focused on one phase of language acquisition per the Science of Reading.

This workbook includes a 6-week schedule to follow with activities designed to make learning fun and engaging using both color photos and cute illustrations. A progress map (tear-out) with stickers adds incentive as students can see their progress. Add a set of 12 decodable Fiction Readers and/or Non-Fiction Readers to round out your lessons.

Phase 1 is for building phonemic awareness, which covers sound talk, voice sound, and rhyming. Children become aware of sounds around them, percussion sounds, and the difference between loud and quiet.
