Publisher's Description of COBI Willys MB & Trailer - 200 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)
The Allied landing in Normandy on June 6, 1944, was one of the most important events of World War II and greatly influenced its course! During this complicated operation a lot of equipment was used, and this vehicle has become a legend to this day. Thanks to the original JEEP license, the Willys MB car appears in the COBI offer! The world's most popular off-road vehicle with a trailer was designed in 1:35 scale and consists of 200 elements. The block car received a completely new color of blocks matching American military equipment and is equipped with a heavy machine gun and accessories that can be placed in the trailer. The wheels with rubber tires rotate and you can move the car for fun. The set includes two figures representing soldiers of the American 101st Division Airborne “Screaming Eagles”. The vehicle and figures feature high-quality prints based on historical markings. We have not omitted even such tiny details as the patches with the characteristic eagle on the soldiers' shoulders! The set perfectly complements the very rich Historical Collection WWII series from COBI!
The Willys MB Jeep is a legendary off-road vehicle that played a key role during World War II. Produced by the American company Willys-Overland Motors, it was part of a military program to provide vehicles for the United States Army and its allies. The Willys MB was characterized by a simple design, solidity and reliability in difficult off-road conditions. Its compact size, durability and ability to move over difficult terrain ensured it a legendary position in the history of motoring. After the war, the popularity of the Willys MB Jeep contributed to the development of the Jeep brand and became an inspiration for later models of off-road vehicles. Today, the Willys MB Jeep is valued by collectors and lovers of military and classic cars.
The COBI World War IIHistorical Series sets feature tanks, aircraft, ships, and other vehicles of both sides of combat. Each set includes one or more characters which match the theme and ranking of the vehicle. Depending on the model, individual sets each feature various moving components such as gun barrels, turrets, tracks, wings, propellers, engine compartments, and more.
