Publisher's Description of COBI Willys MB - 132 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)
The Allied landing in Normandy on June 6, 1944, was one of the most important events of World War II and greatly influenced its course! During this complicated operation a lot of equipment was used, and this vehicle has become a legend to this day. Thanks to the original JEEP license, the Willys MB car appears in the COBI offer! The most popular car in the world in a completely new color was designed in 1:35 scale and consists of 132 elements. The block car is equipped with a heavy machine gun and accessories. The wheels with rubber tires rotate and you can move the car during play. The set includes a figure depicting a soldier of the American 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles). The vehicle and the figure have high-quality prints, which are modeled on historical markings taken directly from a historic car belonging to COBI! We have not omitted even such tiny details as the badges with the characteristic eagle on the soldier's shoulder! The set perfectly complements the very rich Historical Collection WWII series from COBI!
The Jeep Willys MB is a legendary off-road vehicle that played a key role during World War II. Produced by the American company Willys-Overland Motors, it was part of a military program to provide vehicles for the United States Army and its allies. The Willys MB was characterized by a simple design, solidity and reliability in difficult off-road conditions. Its compact size, durability and ability to move over difficult terrain ensured it a legendary position in the history of motoring. After the war, the popularity of the Jeep Willys MB contributed to the development of the Jeep brand and became an inspiration for later models of off-road vehicles. Today, the Jeep Willys MB is valued by collectors and lovers of military and classic cars.
The COBI World War IIHistorical Series sets feature tanks, aircraft, ships, and other vehicles of both sides of combat. Each set includes one or more characters which match the theme and ranking of the vehicle. Depending on the model, individual sets each feature various moving components such as gun barrels, turrets, tracks, wings, propellers, engine compartments, and more.
