Optional Math-U-See Epsilon DVD contains the same instructional lessons found in the Epsilon Online Instruction with Videos
Not included in the Sets but may be purchased separately
Families choosing to purchase the DVD instead of the Online Instruction with Video will need to purchase the Fraction Overlays, Epsilon Student Workbook and Tests, and Epsilon Instruction Manual separately
The Math-U-See Epsilon DVD provides parents with an
introduction to the MUS four-step methodology before transitioning to the
instructional lessons. Lessons are clearly explained and easy to follow. Each
teaching segment is 6-10 minutes in length and focuses on Mr. Demme, who
explains and demonstrates the lessons on a large whiteboard with magnetic

Publisher's Description of Math-U-See Epsilon DVD
The Epsilon DVD features the videos instructors need to teach this level.
In this level, you and your student will explore basic operations with fractions using the Fraction Overlay manipulatives. Enjoy learning fractions and concepts like generating equivalent fractions, recognizing common factors, and fluently adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions with confidence.
The Math-U-See Epsilon DVD is ideal for instructors who already own the Instruction Manual and Fraction Overlay Kit, and whose students have all the necessary student materials including the Student Workbook and Tests booklet.
Mastery of fractions including equivalent fractions and basic operations with fractions becoming fluent with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions and mixed numbers. Also includes common factors, grouping symbols and order of operations, comparing and converting decimal fractions, area and circumference of a circle, classifying quadrilaterals, fractional measurements on line plots and number lines, and using coordinates to represent ordered relationships.
Lessons follow a similar format – watch the DVD lesson (parent then child/parent together), work through
lesson examples in the instruction manual together, and complete worksheets.
Lessons conclude with a test. Cumulative unit tests are scheduled regularly to
assure students retain previous teaching. A final test over all concepts taught
concludes the course.
