Description

This workbook provides extra practice correlated with what students have learned in the Math in Focus 5A Student Edition. Pages are black and white and perforated for easy tear out. Answers are not included; however, we will email you a PDF copy with proof of purchase of the workbook. Contents include “Activity”, “Math Journal”, and “Put on Your Thinking Cap” pages. Activity pages are more practice pages relating to the concept learned. Math Journal pages help students reflect on what they have learned by solving problems and writing down their thoughts about how they got the answer. Put on Your Thinking Cap pages develop critical thinking skills as students apply mathematical reasoning to solve problems.

Category Description for Math in Focus Grade 5 (2020 Ed.)

Core components of this program include a Teacher Edition and Student Edition, one for each semester. The full-color Teacher Editions include lesson plans, reduced student pages with answers, and instructions for using manipulatives. Full-color, consumable Student Editions include the core of the student learning including step-by-step instructions, examples, and practice pages. The Assessment Guide Teacher Edition provides review and tests for both semesters, as well as corresponding answers. The Homeschool Kit includes the Teacher and Student Editions (Volumes A and B) and the Assessment Guide Teacher Edition.

  There are a few enrichment options for this program. The Math Fact Fluency Book includes varied problems to build math fluency and conceptual understanding. A convenient Manipulative Kit includes most of the manipulatives used in Math in Focus 2020 Grade 5 curriculum. We also offer an Add-On Kit for families who already own the Grade 4 manipulatives and need the additional items used in Grade 5. Also available are the Extra Practice and Homework Books (one for each semester) which provides chapter specific concept practice, journaling exercises, and higher order thinking exercises. Answers are not included, but are available in pdf upon request.
