Description

Dorformantik: Sakura by Pegasus Spiele is a cooperative tile-laying game that can also be played solo. Using 5 different landscape types (Cherry Trees, Rice, Villages, Roads, and Rivers) and their corresponding task tiles, which assign goals for game-end points, players work together to place the landscape tiles in the most beneficial ways to complete as many tasks as possible.

Sakura is the sequel to the original Dorfromantik game, with a change in theme presenting more complexity, challenge, and varied scoring adventures. Like the original, it is cooperative, peaceful, and laid-back while also being strategic. Once the landscape tiles are all used, the game ends. Players use the provided scoresheet to add up their points and the person with the highest score wins!

After your first game, or at any point after, there is an optional campaign mode that you can start and work on throughout future plays. This game mode adds new challenges with added game components helping to create new and varied experiences.

The manual for Dorfromantik: Sakura is concise, clearly written, and uses example illustrations to make this game quickly accessible. I own the original Dorfromantik and this new sequel brings more content with a beautiful theme! Each game session lasts about 30-90 minutes and 1-6 people can play.  ~ Marsha
