Expanded and revised in 2024, this engaging dictionary is intended for elementary-aged students. The nicest feature (I think) is the addition of 1,300 quotes from children's literature, provided to show word use in context. These are printed in blue after selected entries, along with the author's name and the name of the book. The dictionary features more than 37,000 entries, over 900 illustrations and photographs, a pronunciation guide, cross-references, example sentences, word histories, and Greek and Latin word root paragraphs.
