Piece together your own Yakovlev Yak-3 with this 140-piece
COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection,
this set contains all the blocks needed to build the Soviet fighter.
The Yak-3 was a Soviet fighter used during WWII and was one
of the smallest fighters used during the war. It was considered to be an
effective dogfighter due to its high power-to-weight ratio and was well-liked
by its pilots and crews. Yak-3s fought primarily as low-flying tactical fighters
over battlefields at an altitude of around 13,000 feet. Nearly 5,000 of these
aircraft were built between 1944 and the end of the war, helping the Soviets
fend off the Germans and close in on Berlin. The Yak-3 featured a 20mm cannon
as well as two 12.7mm machine guns.
This 1:48 scale model features retractable wheels and is perfect
for military enthusiasts ages 7+, bringing the Yak-3 to life in incredible
detail! Dimensions are 7.3” long, 7.9” wide, and 3.7” high. ~Alex
Publisher's Description of COBI Yakovlev Yak-3 Fighter - 140 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)
The Yak-3 (Russian: Як-3) has added even more variety to the Historical Collection. It was a Soviet fighter aircraft that has been produced since 1944. It belongs to the family of aircraft created in the Yakovlev design bureau and is a development in design of the equally famous Yak-1 aircraft.
The Yak-3 gained reputation as a solid and easy-to-maintain aircraft. It was appreciated by both pilots and its ground crews. Interestingly, it was one of the smallest and lightest fighters of World War II. A very good power to weight ratio gave the plane excellent performance, making it a formidable opponent.
Use 140 COBI construction blocks to build the historic Soviet fighter from World War II! The block model features high-quality prints only. The plane measures 18.5cm in length and 20cm in wingspan and is a perfect addition to our growing Historical Collection! YAK-3 is also an easy-to-build model and a perfect start to your adventure with COBI construction blocks. This is an aircraft that enthusiasts of aviation, military technology and history will all love. Build history, brick by brick, with COBI.
The COBI World War IIHistorical Series sets feature tanks, aircraft, ships, and other vehicles of both sides of combat. Each set includes one or more characters which match the theme and ranking of the vehicle. Depending on the model, individual sets each feature various moving components such as gun barrels, turrets, tracks, wings, propellers, engine compartments, and more.
