Piece together your own Pennsylvania-Class Battleship with this 2,088-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection, this set contains all the blocks needed to build the American dreadnaught battleship.
The Pennsylvania Class was an American class of super-dreadnaught battleship that was built in 1916 and served during WWII in the Pacific theater. Its design followed the “all or nothing” approach to armor, where the most important parts of the ship were very heavily armored while the rest of the ship received virtually no protection. Two Pennsylvania-class battleships were built, with one being sunk during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor and the other going on to serve as a shore bombardment ship when the United States joined WWII. After the war ended, this ship was used as a target during nuclear weapons testing.
This 1:300 scale model features moving propellers, rudders, and towers, as well as gun barrels that can be raised and lowered. It also comes with a display stand. Perfect for naval and battleship enthusiasts ages 10+, this COBI set brings the American battleship to life in incredible detail! Dimensions are 24.2” inches long and 8.7” inches high. ~Alex
