Description

Piece together your own Volkswagen Kübelwagen TYP 82 with this 1,530-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection, this set contains all the blocks needed to build the iconic German military utility vehicle.

The Kübelwagen was a German car used during WWII to transport troops, staff, supplies, and wounded soldiers, as well as having other diverse uses. It was a very capable and robust vehicle that could travel both on and off-road, including in heavy mud, sand, and snow. This was due largely in part to its excellent suspension and flat underbody that functioned as a motorized sled whenever the vehicle sank into the ground while traversing difficult terrain. It could easily seat up to five men. Around 53,000 were produced.

This 1:12 scale model features opening doors, a trunk and engine compartment that open, and a steering wheel that actually turns the vehicle’s front wheels! The interior of the vehicle is also carefully detailed. Perfect for military enthusiasts ages 11+, this set brings the German military car to life in incredible detail!
