Piece together your own F4U-4 Corsair with this 520-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s Korean War Collection, this set contains all of the blocks needed to construct the American fighter.
The Corsair is an American fighter aircraft used during WWII and the Korean War between 1942 and 1953. In World War II, the Corsair operated primarily as an aircraft carrier-based fighter and was considered by many to be one of the war’s best fighters, with American pilots in the Pacific achieving an impressive ratio of 11 enemy aircraft destroyed for every 1 Corsair lost. In the Korean War, Corsairs were used exclusively as fighter-bombers. The aircraft featured six 12.7mm M2 Browning machine guns, eight rockets, and could carry up to 4,000lbs of bombs at a time. Corsairs achieved an impressive top speed of 446 miles per hour and could land on and take off of aircraft carriers.
This 1:32 scale model features a rotating propeller, moveable wing flaps, a cockpit that opens, and wheels that both roll and fold up into the body of the plane. A pilot minifigure and display stand are also included. Perfect for aviation and military enthusiasts ages 7+, this set brings the Corsair to life in incredible detail! Dimensions are 12.1” long and 15.1” wide. ~Alex
