Piece together your own F4F Wildcat with this 375-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection, this set contains all of the blocks needed to construct the American fighter.
The Wildcat was an American fighter aircraft used during WWII from 1941 through 1945. The Wildcat was actually first loaned to the British before the United States entered the war, and when they did, it was the only fighter initially available to the Americans that could take off from and land on aircraft carriers. The Wildcat fought the infamous and menacing Japanese Zeros before later being replaced with upgraded aircraft. The Wildcat featured four 12.7mm Browning machine guns and was capable of carrying two 100lb bombs. It had a top speed of 331mph.
This 1:32 scale model features a rotating propeller, moveable wing flaps, a cockpit that opens, and wheels that function when the plane is rolled. A pilot minifigure and display stand are also included. Perfect for aviation and military enthusiasts ages 7+, this set brings the Wildcat to life in incredible detail! Dimensions are 10.8” long, 14” wide, and 4.1” high. ~Alex
