Description

Piece together your own De Havilland DH.98 Mosquito with this 710-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection, this set contains all of the blocks needed to construct the British aircraft.

The De Havilland Mosquito is a British multirole combat aircraft that performed a large variety of duties throughout WWII. These included air combat, tactical bombing, pathfinding, maritime strikes, and conducting photo reconnaissance. It was also used to quickly transport valuable cargo. The Mosquito was one of the fastest aircraft ever made at 415 mph when it was first produced in 1941, due in large part to its unconventional wooden frame that reduced its weight. The aircraft was armed with four 7.7mm Browning machine guns, four 20mm cannons, and could carry up to 4,000 lbs of bombs.

This 1:32 scale model features moveable wing flaps, propellers that rotate, and retractable wheels that can function when the plane is rolled. A pilot minifigure is also included. Perfect for aviation and military enthusiasts ages 7+, this set brings the DH.98 Mosquito to life in incredible detail! Dimensions are 15.35” long, 20.29” wide, and 4.5” high. ~Alex
Publisher's Description of COBI De Havilland DH.98 Mosquito Combat Aircraft - 710 pieces (World War II Historical Collection)

The De Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engine, two-seat World War II military aircraft which entered service in 1941. It was produced in various versions and quickly became a universal aircraft capable of long flights. Regarded as one of the most successful fighter-bombers used during World War II, it was hailed as a wooden wonder by RAF pilots. Although the Mosquito was a modern machine, it was mainly made of spruce wood, plywood and balsa and covered with canvas!

Built completely from scratch on a 1:32 scale, the model consists of 710 high-quality COBI construction blocks. The model has many moving parts such as rotating wheels with rubber tires, moving propellers and ailerons. In the cabin you can place the pilot figure included in the set! The blocks have been covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off even during intensive use. This is a great model for all aviation enthusiasts. Thanks to the faithfully reproduced proportions and details of the aircraft, the model will be a great decoration for any collection of young or adult enthusiasts of history and aviation. The whole set is completed with a display stand, a bomb and a brick with the model name printed on it.
