Piece together your own BM-13 Katyusha Rocket Launcher with this 440-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s World War II Historical Collection, this set contains all the blocks needed to build this Soviet truck-mounted artillery.
The Katyusha is a Soviet rocket launcher that was attached to an ordinary truck. It was the first self-propelled artillery built by the USSR and was very easy to mass-produce at low cost. The artillery could be attached to virtually any style of chassis and, despite being relatively inaccurate, was effective due to the sheer number of shells that it could fire at a target. Its excellent maneuverability also kept it safe from enemy counter-battery fire. Katyushas could fire their shells a distance of around 5 ½ miles.
This 1:35 scale model features functioning wheels and an adjustable rocket launcher. It also comes with two minifigures. Perfect for military enthusiasts ages 7+, this set brings the Katyusha to life in incredible detail! Dimensions are 8” long, 2.8” wide, 4.7-6.7” high. ~Alex
