Description

Piece together your own A-10 Thunderbolt II Warthog with this 633-piece COBI building block set! Part of COBI’s Armed Forces Collection, this set contains the blocks needed to construct this American subsonic attack aircraft.

The Warthog was produced by the Americans from 1972–1984 and was designed to provide close air support (CAS) to troops on the ground, which involves flying very low and taking out armored vehicles, tanks, and enemy troops. The Warthog is also responsible for attacking grounded aircraft. It has been used in several high-profile conflicts since its conception, such as the Gulf War, Afghanistan, and the Iraq War. The aircraft features a 30mm autocannon and has the ability to carry a payload of up to 1,600 pounds, including bombs, missiles, and rockets. Warthogs are still used by the US Air Force today.

This 1:48 scale model features moving wing flaps, retractable wheels, and a cockpit that opens. A pilot minifigure also comes with the set. The A-10 THUNDERBOLT II™ WARTHOG® is a close support aircraft in service with the US Air Force and Air National Guard. Single-seat and powered by two turbofan engines, the Thunderbolt is a damage-tolerant attack aircraft designed to destroy tanks, armored vehicles and other ground targets. In the years 1975 - 1984, 715 of these aircraft were produced. Combat use included being deployed in Kosovo, Afghanistan and during the Gulf War. Due to its unique design, stunning efficiency and firepower, this aircraft has become very recognizable and is extremely popular among military aviation enthusiasts!

We present the plane in a unique and predatory black and gray Black Snake version! The two-color paint scheme was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of aviation in the Indiana National Guard (USA).
