The most dangerous enemies of the Roman Empire are approaching!
Germanic warriors were renowned for their brutal strength, savagery and hatred of the Roman yoke. From the 1st century BCE to the fall of Western Rome in the 5th century CE, Germanic tribes repeatedly attacked the empire's borders.
Their warfare style was based on mass attacks, hand-to-hand combat and tenacity. They were armed with long spears, axes, swords, and powerful wooden shields—often decorated with symbolic designs.
For a long time, the Germans lived fragmented into numerous tribes. However, when they united, they could become a truly fearsome army. An example of this was the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest, during which the Roman legions were surprised and destroyed in an ambush.
In the 1st and 2nd centuries CE, the Romans launched expeditions against the Germans—without much success. Using a policy of intrigue and bribery, they managed to impose their supremacy on several border tribes.
From the 3rd century onward, Rome began to weaken under the pressure of the Germans. Migrations and conflicts of the peoples, intensified by the Hunnic invasions, led to the breaking of the Empire's borders and the establishment of Germanic tribes' own kingdoms. The settlement of barbarians in the Empire's territories initiated the formation of future European states.
Today, the legend of the Germanic warriors returns in brick form – it's time to incite an uprising and repel the influence of Rome once and for all!
