Jolly Phonics is typically a one-year comprehensive phonics program that implements the same strategies as Jolly Phonics for ages 3 and 4 but teaches more complex concepts, including irregular or “tricky” words, segmenting, advanced blending, spelling, handwriting, and multi-syllable words. After completing this program, children can continue with another phonics/reading program to build on their phonics skills or go right into the Jolly Literacy program.
